Problem with iPhone 5 and iRig Keys

Hi all,

I'm having a problem getting my iRig Keys to work with my iPhone 5. I was using it with an iPod Touch (4th generation) before, but I sold the iPod and am thinking of getting a 5th gen iPod Touch. Anyway, Here's the deal. I asked the folks at Long and McQuade where I got my iRig Keys if they had the 30 pin to lightning adapter so that I could use it with my iPhone 5, and they didn't have it. I then asked them if I needed to get a specific adapter directly through IK Multimedia, and the guy didn't know. Grrr it's so frustrating when the people selling products don't know how to use them and what works with them! End of rant. So my sister found and bought me a 30 pin to lightning adapter on Ebay and I received it in the mail today. I connected my iRig Keys to my phone via the lightning adapter, and neither ThumbJam nor GarageBand recognized it. At first I thought the adapter was to blame, so I tried plugging my phone into my Mac via a 30 pin charging cable and the lightning adapter, and that worked. Then i thought maybe it's the cable that came with the iRig Keys, so I got my dad to check that and everything looked fine, no broken pins anywhere as far as he could see. Anyway I plugged my iRig Keys into my sister's 3rd gen iPad, and I had no problem there. So I really really have no clue what could be causing this issue.

Do any of you who use the iRig Keys use it with any of the newer devices that support the lightning connectors? If so, do you have to buy a special adapter from IK Multimedia?

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,

Siena.

Welcome to the official iPhone app for Hattrick.org.

If you’ve been looking for a quality football manager game for the iPhone, then stop right here. Hattrick is the original online manager game, online since 1997, with a roaring strong community of over 700,000 active members. Now also available on the iPhone!

This app has been created for both our existing users and for anyone that wants to join our community. If you are not already a user, you need to register at http://www.hattrick.org.

What is Hattrick all about?

In Hattrick, you get to run your own football club. Scout talent, train players, pick your best team and set the tactics for league and cup competitions. You compete against human managers and can interact with them in many ways.

What will this app do for you?

This app has been designed to give all users a great new channel for accessing and playing Hattrick. It provides key functionality from the web site, such as the ability to check your team status, set match orders, and check match results.

How do I play Hattrick?

Although Hattrick is very engaging and addictive, we have designed the game so that anyone can understand it, and have the time for it. Hattrick is a humanly paced game with one league game and one cup game per week. Your decisions will form the team over time, through training and transfer market actions. You get results through planning and outsmarting your opponent, rather than logging in to click every 15 minutes.

Is Hattrick a free game?

The game is free and you cannot pay for advantages in the gameplay. Many of our users have played for 5 or even 10 years, proof that when you enter Hattrick, you really do enter a very engaging and unique football universe. It is possible to pay for extra features that do not affect your team's performance.

A worldwide community

Hattrick is available in over 50 language versions and we have 124 national leagues with local communities!

What are the features of the Hattrick iPhone app?

  • Check team and player status
  • Match list with your teams previous, future and current games
  • Set match orders for upcoming games
  • Match report page during matches
  • Series page with current table positions and links to recent games

Accessibility Comments

This app is pretty accessible. You can look at players and their stats without difficulty. Nothing bad to report on that front, though setting lineups is currently not accessible from within the app and must be done from the website.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads most page elements.

Button Labeling

All buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

There are some minor accessibility issues with this app, but they are easy to deal with.

Other Comments

Overall, watching games live is the best we can do with this app for now. I've been attempting to get the developers attention on this, but I don't know if my calls are being heard. I'll continue to keep trying.

There are some issues in using this. The UI can be a bit confusing and some buttons are unlabel.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads most page elements.

Usability

There are some accessibility issues with this app, but it can still be used if you are willing to tolerate these issues and learn how to work around them.

Other Comments

This would offer some great potential for those that are seeking simplicity in consolidating a variety of calendars in to one place. I love the fact I can place different type of calendars in to different groups. So my family calendar could be used in the Family section while my local sporting team schedules could be in another group.

Great ways to view the calendar in a nice easy way without having everything mashed in to one.

The downside is that there are just quite a few problems. There are just enough unlabel buttons to make this a bit fusturating to relabel and such. Plus, I found the Search is not working quite right with me. I was unabled to search for things with VO on. I also saw that it crashes quite a bit.

Would love to see this improved in terms of accessibility so it can be used for us. Lastly, I really love the fact it is cross platform. So my friends, co-worker, and family can be using this on an IOS or on the Android platform.

Ahoy all.
Been looking for these type of apps and was wondering if any of you are using any?
I am mainly interested in arms simulators,I.E weapons guns and such but I wouldn't mind others.
They don't have to be fully accessible, but enough that it can be used would be good.

Hi all. i use comcast for my mail, I have two accounts. Last night things were working fine, but today, it won't bring in any mail. I used the connection doctor, it keeps saying that i'm connecting to server under all the accounts, those, and iCloud. As far as i know nothing's changed on comcast's end, and i have not tested if I can send anythingyet. I don't know much about the Mac, so i haven't really dived in to this yet. The mail is set up as pop accounts, I don't know why before it wasn't pop3. I looked on the comcast site, and there is mail waiting for me. Thanks for any help you can provide.

This is usable with VoiceOver, but for an app that is supposedly designed with the blind in mind, I would hope for it to be more than usable!

I wouldn't expect page elements to be announced twice by VoiceOver (both the graphic and the text for icons). I wouldn't expect VoiceOver to read elements from a page which isn't being visually displayed on screen at the time - for example, flick through the list of icons presented for a location, go past the last icon, and VoiceOver will revert back to announcing what was on the previous screen. Confusing as heck when VoiceOver is announcing items but no amount of tapping will make them do anything! This problem exists right across the app.

Some controls appear to be announced as unlabelled buttons. I'm told that these are most likely the buttons which allow you to submit your own photos. This control is made even more confusing when browsing menus, as you can find yourself being prompted to submit a photo when all that you have done is double-tap on a menu item.

Being in the UK, I was surprised and disappointed to find that prices were quoted in dollars and cents and the service used to provide weather forecasts is USA only.

Tutorial on clean re-install of OS X?

$

Greetings:

I just "inherited" my daughter's old Mac Book Pro after having it repaired. It is running OS X 10.6.8. She has a lot of her college data and software on it, much of which is inaccessible. I'd like to bak it up and then update the OS on a clean disk so I can simplify the Mac environment while i learn how to use it.

A friend said there is a tutorial on how to update the OS X version and install it on the Mac with a clean install and of course, using VoiceOver. Unfortunately he doesn't remember where this tutorial is located.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks.

I read the iTunes guide on this, but there are, I think, some issues. First, there is no subscribe to podcast option under the files menu. Second, I can barely get around the program to even submit my podcast to them. Are there any easier ways to go about all this? The rss feed is done, I just need to test and submit it.

Hi. I have fixed mail, by going in and turning off the SSL that was on. don't ask why this was a sudden change, but it was. My only issue is the following: if i send myself an icloud message, it comes through instantly on the phone, but not at al on the mac. I've looked at apple's support but so far nothing seems to be working. Any ideas? Helpful ones, not the maybe it's apple's end, would be great. Thanks.
